I was so sorry to see the post about him leaving.  I had just replied.  Assure you friend of Philmore's love and gratitude for letting him have a say in when he was to leave.

I absolutely know what you are talking about, Marylyn, I feel the same way.  When Phoenix first took Philmore to her vet back in December, he suggested that he should be euthanized right away because he felt that it was cancer and she scheduled an appointment after X’mas – and she told me about it – and I told her.. wait a minute.. he is not even in pain, he is playing and eating.. don’t just kill him because the vet said so or just because he has cancer.. talk to Philmore.. it’s his life and ask him.. don’t decide for me without asking him.. so anyway,, she cancelled appointment and decided to have a life with Philmore for a while… he has had a very happy life.. it was not a long enough for her and it would never be long enough… I know our animals are so much better about knowing what a life is about and what a death is about.. and so much to learn from them..

On Feb 1, 2005 the specialists thought Kitty would not be around in a very few months.  She is in the bedroom now.  She is not in as good a shape as I would like but she is about 14 years old.  She will leave this world when she is ready.  Not when I think it is time and certainly not according to some formula a specialist believes in.  She is in no pain.  I would definitely know that since she shares her aches and pains with me.  This is to tell you, and remind myself, that life is not lived on our terms and not to give up on the wonderful friends we have.  Everyday I dread leaving and dread more coming back.  You are doing the same.  This is human.  They are superior.  They are not worried.  They are cats.  They know there is nothing to fear in leaving this world.

I hope I am not being to preachy---my prayers are with you and Philmore and I ask your prayers for Kitty and me.

Prayers for Philmore.  I hope he passes peacefully and easily.  It's so hard when you know there's nothing else you can do.  :(

Hi, I wanted to ask if I could ask for your prayer for my friend’s cat, Philmore who is not doing too well.

Philmore has had a big tumor under his jaw for the past several months now and is getting harder and harder for him to eat and breathe –his time maybe approaching, but we are not 100% sure as he can still eat, and he is such a fighter and such a good boy– and I wanted to ask you to pray for Philmore so that he will not be in pain and will be in peace regardless ----

Thank you.

Hideyo

Please let me know if Kyle takes her soon. I may have someone heading her way but I only want the kitten if I would be her last resort...
