Kerry, ringworm will go through a cycle and go away ON IT'S OWN if left alone. NO need to medicate unless you have a multi-cat household were it can cycle along through all the cats and pass back and forth (where, it theory, it could cycle endlessly and never go away). Vets commonly over medicate for ringworm, which, in itself, is a relatively harmless fungus. Itchy, but NOT deadly. I would never orally medicate for it, period, it's just NOT that big of a deal, to give toxic meds to a cat to cure something so harmless. Oh and yes, YOU can get it too, ALSO not a big deal. On yourself, put a dab of bleach directly on the fungus daily, and it will kill it. (don't bleach a cat, they will lick it off and it will make them sick)

Just MY opinion, of course.
