Karen~
Many local humane societies provide lists of "Pet Friendly Housing",
especially SPCA. Out local SPCA has a LARGE list of pet friendly
rentals.
Also, "google", Pet Friendly Housing, and you will find many links. (I had
some saved, but I deleted them after I found my house..)
Also, contact realtors that manage rental properties. Again, thee are
,any agencies that "work" for the landlord in listing theor properties &
finding tenants. Some of these "Home Placement" agencies charge a fee,
but, it will be well wirth it if they can help.
I signed up with one prior to my move when I had to sell my home last year,
and was able to find 6 properties (3 landlords). However due to sher luck,
I was able to find a home of my own to rent..
And....DON"T GIVE UP OR BECOME DISCOURAGED!!
I have 4 dogs, (1 very large Rottie, a large Golden X, an med. sized
cattledog, and a medium pure-bred American Mutt!!) I also have 5
cats.......(And, 5 foster cats...)
START NOW!! Contact ALL your local realtors, check ads in your local
free newspaper, and all the other newspapers as well.
AND - USE THE NET!!!
Google is an awesome tool...
If I could do it, so can you.....
As for those people that tell you to "get rid" of your pets, well, they are
the reason we live in "A Throw Away Society".
Wishing you the best. Feel free to contact me if you want help or
guidance. I am in Pa.
Hang in there, it WILL be all right!
Hugs,
Patti
