I have a couple of FIV+ cats of my own and a beautiful little Siamese mix foster who is FIV+  They take longer to place.  We have to try harder.  We have to work at educating people.  But we have to get the message out that FIV cats can live long happy lives and are not furry little lepers.  Consider how language reflects mindset and affects actions.  Does it really take longer to place an FIV cat than a senior or a special needs cat?  Or an all black cat?  Some take longer than others.
