The UK has abolished the quarantine thank goodness (happened about 3-4 years ago). But, the rules of entry are strict--you have to have all the correct paperwork to show that you/your vet has followed the correct procedures and at the right times--and it has to be written in the correct color of ink too! Otherwise the pet IS quarantined until it's sorted out. There is also only one airline authorized to carry the pets from North America to UK; and only one point of air entry (Heathrow). And your pet can not travel in the cabin. Has to be as cargo.
