I would call around and try to find a vet that has or is treating other cats with the virus. I had to change vets with my cat Smokey because the vet I had been using for 15 years didn't seem to want to treat him. I don't know alot about the virus as Smokey is the first cat I have had that was positive. The new vet has told me that it is possible for a cat to fight off the virus. It may be a low percentage but there is a chance. I just had Smokey retested after 7 months unfortunatley he was still positive. Is Crackers sick now? Is that why you had Crackers tested?
