my vet is a housecall vet, so i called him and asked if he were interested in picking up a few new patients. he, of course, asked, "how many?" and i said, sweetly and innocently, "oh, about 400...."

there was a moment of total silence, then he said, "sure...." he did NOT hang up on me, nor did he change his phone number.... hee hee. have i mentioned how much i love this guy????

my vet is so wonderful that i keep wishing that there was something that i could do to show him how much i appreciate him..... last holiday season, i actually found a hallmark card for "our favorite vet," and i got him a tree ornament (an unbreakable cat one!)--i think i'll do that every year since sending flowers doesn't seem appropriate!

 

(one of his clients last christmas sent him a $20 check, for him to use for any needy cat/client--he applied it to my balance, because he thought she'd approve of what i was doing....)

 

i wonder what i'll do when he retires?????
