Oh my you cracked me up!  Your house sounds exactly like ours!  And the thought of them huddling around the computer together in the dark of night posting themselves on Petfinder just threw up a hysterical image in my mind!!
Thanks for the laugh!  I needed it!!

have been thinking more about this..... one week of their speaking
english. hmm, is that for just ONE cat in the family? how would i
choose which one?

remembering what an animal communicator said once, that not all cats
are "chatty cathy's"---what if i picked one who had absolutely nothing
to say? or if i happened upon a week when the one i choose was just in
a calico mood? could i stand to listen to one of the calicos bitching
for seven days? and do i really want to KNOW  how the forever cats
felt about last summer's no-good-deed-goes-unpunished effort at being
an estrogen zone and bringing 5 pregnant or new moms with their
assorted 28 kittens into THEIR house? (some of the adults are just
now, a year later, trusting me enough to venture outside the
bedroom.....) and what if they all think i'm a lousy mom and really
have posted themselves all on petfinder--do i need to know this?

send me the money!
