The side effect is chance of vaccine related sarcoma. However, there is a
kind of FeLV vaccine (can't remember the name right now) that is given through a
kind of air gun rather than an injection, with no risk of vaccine associated
cancer. It's what I get for my negative, who I also keep separate from the
others but get vaccinated just in case.
