Let him hang out.  It is extremely hard to do but I managed to do it with the Royal Princess Kitty Katt and I know in my heart and soul it was the right thing to do.  If Dukee really wants help leaving he will make it very plain to you.

Your husband may just be making sure you know there are options.

Dukee is still with us.
My eyeballs hurt and I'm exhausted. I'm not a young kit anymore. Used to be able to do all-nighters with kitties when they were ill.
I have been cat napping all night in here with him and the other cats.
I can tell you he wants to go and hide in dark places prefers to lay on cold areas. He is still alert.
I told my husband last night that I would send Dukee to the bridge.
He ask me a hell of a question like
"Does he have to go? Can we let him die at home?"
So for obvious reasons that makes me feel like crap...  :(
Should I let Dukee hang out or should I take him to the Vet?
Just asking for your opinions on this.
Thanks!

Terrie,

How are you and Dukee today?  I wish I had been online
last night; I almost logged in, but decided against
it, and went to bed.  Should have listened to my
intuition.  I hope if Dukee has passed already that he
went peacefully and painlessly.  Prayers going out to
you all.

:)
