Not when she was getting transfusion –
she was dying in my arms.. while we were waiting at the emergency clinic (in Albuquerque,
there is not a regular clinic who can do transfusion so I needed to go to
emergency clinic, where you cannot schedule it in advance – and I hated
it) ..anyway, we had to wait for 5 hours before she could get a blood, and she
was getting weaker and weaker and she vomited a bunch of blood in my arms (I
mean a bunch, very thick and ketchup like blood) and I freaked out.. and I
screamed – YOU HAVE TO GIVE HER BLOOD RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!—SHE
IS DYING – I screamed at the office so loud, and they dropped everything
and finally started set her up.. I had to bring my own donor cat, Oh Oh to
donate blood, which he did so wonderfully!!! Tsubomi was getting cold and if
we did not give her blood then, I knew she did not survey that day.. as soon as
the blood got into her body, I could tell her that she started feeling better,
she was more alert and she was getting more pink.. I cannot tell you how good
it felt.. I am sorry, I cannot cry talking about this.. I was so happy that she
felt better… it only took a little over an hour and I brought her home.. she
had some type of reaction as she ran a high fever that night.. as I said.. the
effect of the transfusion lasted only several hours on her.. but,, I would not
have regret it as I was able to see her smile once more..—gosh I miss her
so very very much.. From:

Behalf Of Susan Loesch Was it terribly stressful for Tsubomi? Valley is pretty laid-back
- used to rowdy kids. So a trip to the vet doesn't seem to be very
stressful in itself. I have to agree with Kelly – but
again, I know why you don’t want to do it, too.. I gave Tsubomi
transfusion who was felk kitty when her PCV was at 9 – transfusion
unfortunately lasted only several hours.. somehow her body was destroying her
own red blood cells right away.. it’s some time of autoimmune illness
from Felk – Anything you do may not be as instant as
transfusion – if you are worried, make sure that they match up the blood
first – it will make him feel better right away—it did to Tsubomi
-- I was so glad to see her feeling better even it was for a short while
– it was worth doing it… Hideyo From:

prayers or meditation or chanting or whatever you believe in -- for a remission
for the feleuk crisis he is in. He is another of my "library cats"
who comes to work with me. He was a rescue from a kill shelter about 5
years ago - he was 1 or 2 at the time. Feleuk positive. Looked like
death warmed over but once fattened up has been so healthy that I had him
retested last year to see if he'd reverted to neg.
