Thanks, Leslie.  Frank blood (bright red blood) on the outside of stool does happen with IBD when the problem is in the lower part of the intestines, which is what she has.  So occasionally, when she is having a flare-up, she gets that. Often, like this time, it is the precursor to getting loose stool or diarrhea.   michelle   In a message dated 11/9/2006 12:37:55 P.M.
