Thanks, Leslie.  Frank blood (bright red blood) on the outside of stool does happen with IBD when the problem is in the lower part of the intestines, which is what she has.  So occasionally, when she is having a flare-up, she gets that. Often, like this time, it is the precursor to getting loose stool or diarrhea.

It's wonderful that she doesn't have a temp and that she got some food into her, the wan appetite could be attributed to inhibited smell, as someone mentioned.
