The vet told me that Olive's number of reticulocytes was low--but she does have SOME. He and the vet school seem to think it's nonregenerative anemia, but if that's so, wouldn't there be no reticulocytes whatsoever? Or could they possibly be leftovers from the blood transfusion? I'm really confused. I don't want to give up if there's still a chance.
