I am not able to tell if it is an ulcer on my own. Maybe someone with more experience than me can. I take the cat to the vet and he puts a solution in the eye, then turns out the lights and looks at the eye with an instrument.
I have never had any sort of tissue removed from an eye. I do have a cat who is blind in one eye who may need the whole thing removed, but I've never heard of having anythign removed for an ulcer..
