Melissa, That is a great idea! I always notice those spools and try to think what they might be good for... Once as a kid , okay, as a hippe, one of my first apts, they worked for tables, but I'm more worldly now, or at least I have a real table. But , YES! A cat structure seems perfect. You could do a lot with them and some carpet and imagination, like little cat compartments for napping cats, using the bigger spools. I will be thinking about this... My son will probably have a fit.
