Hi all. I've been a member of this group for about a year now and enjoy learning and listening to your experiences regarding your FeLV kitties. I have two positives and one negative of my own. So long story short, I went into Petco yesterday to get some food for my cats and ran into a lady who volunteered with an adoption agency. When she learned I had positive cats, she asked if I would be willing to take in a 3 month old, orange tabby male who is FeLV positive and in the care of a vet in New York City. I respectfully declined as it was when we brought in our 3rd cat that we learned our oldest was positive. I think the stress of having to deal with another cat in the house caused her symptoms to surface. She is doing great now after her diagnosis almost a year ago (as is our youngest who also ended up being positive) and I want to keep the stress down to a minimum. That means no new kitties for us. So I told her I'd pass along the information to the group and see if anyone can take on or knows someone who can take in a new FeLV kitty.
