One other thing that I thought of re: CSU is that students often treat animals, under the supervision of a senior vet. So if your friend doesn't want that, CSU might not be the best option. At any rate, she might just want to have a consultation with the vet named below. I hope things work out for her and her cat. I think Mike Lappin would be best, but he travels a lot.
