Here is their writeup: "It is with a heavy heart I plead for rescue for these three darling kittens. They came in with a momma, who was tested for Feline Leukemia and tested negative. Since mom was on the skinny side and obviously ready to be relieved of her momma duties, she went to adoption (and found a forever home!) and her kittens went to foster care. At 8 weeks of age, they all had homes lined up so they came in to the shelter to be made ready for adoption.
They tested positive for Feline Leukemia. In hopes of a false positive test, we sent the definitive IFA test off to the lab on one of the kittens and it has come back positive as well. There is no denying these positive results. Due to their test results, the adopters have all withdrawn. The foster mom, fearing getting even MORE attached to them that she already is, has made the heart wrenching decision to return them to the shelter this afternoon. They are all chipped and 2 are already fixed. Due to the contagious nature of Feline Leukemia, we cannot put them in adoption and MUST find rescue for them by 7pm on Friday. Their photos are at: http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=ASTN.A592190 http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=ASTN.A592192 http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=ASTN.A592193 Right now, they are healthy, happy, rambunctious kittens who need a miracle." I cannot pull from TLAC and have no further information. There is a group called Austin Pets Alive who may be able to help if there is interest. TLAC DOES allow out of state adoptions and if there is adoption interest they MAY give them a few more days. The TLAC website is http.www.getapetnow.com I have no further information. but I do have faith that if anyone can help, it is you guys. -- Rescuties - Saving the world, one cat at a time. http://www.rescuties.org Vist the Rescuties stores and save a kitty life! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home?tag=rescuties-20 http://www.zazzle.com/rescuties* Buy or renew magazines and help our kitties! http://www.magfundraising.com/rescuties Please help Trooper! http://rescuties.chipin.com/trooper "And it is the most divisive incivility to tell true animal lovers they can’t complain about it, that they can’t fight for the animals, that they should sit down and shut up and allow the killing to continue." - Nathan Winograd _______________________________________________ Felvtalk mailing list Felvtalk@felineleukemia.org http://felineleukemia.org/mailman/listinfo/felvtalk_felineleukemia.org
