Hi Lance, if the bite doesn't look bad and feel bad by now it most likely is okay. I was bitten many years ago by one of my own cats and ended up with pasteurella. The bite was on my hand and I ended up in the hospital for three days. Doctor wasn't sure he'd be able to save the hand, but in that case the infection got very bad within a matter of hours. Been bitten a few times since then and haven't had anything like that happen. FWIW, I am also insuranceless, both dental and medical. I recently had an abscessed tooth and treated it with aquarium antibiotics, the triple sulfa powder you can buy in any aquarium shop. Worked like a charm and only cost me $13!
