HI William - I am so sorry about your kitten. It is an awful disease, but
there are certainly things you can do to help your baby. I think for the
anemia you could try epogen (I've not used it, but other's have and maybe
can comment). You may also try the liver shake ... I'll send you the recipe
privately.

You need to keep the kittie's immune system boosted - which is the trick to
fighting this disease. Interferon appears to the be the way to fight the
disease in it's early stages, it lessens the viral load in the cat, so I'd
get the wee guy on it ASAP. It's cheap and easy to give. Good food it
equally important. Stay away from anything with by-products, artificial
preservatives (BHA & BHT). Good about giving vitamin C. Thymus,
ginseng/royal jelly, co-enzyme Q10 and others are very good immune boosters.
Thymus you can give about 40mg per day for a 10 pound cat (give less if your
cat is lighter), coQ10 - about 30mg per day. All of these will boost the
immune system and keep it healthy which is the secret to fighting this
disease. But the interferon is probably your best weapon at this point. THe
treatments page gives a lot of information....

good luck and keep us posted.
