I know it's extra trouble, but you can keep the little cat and keep her separate from the others. I have one feline leukemia postive cat that my husband brought home at 6 weeks of age. We kept her separate form the other 6 cats and were devastated when she tested positive. She has been living in a room by herself for a year now and is doing terrific. I spend about 2 -1/2 hours a day one-on-one time with her and she's happy as can be. I get up 45 minutes earlier than I used to so I can spend time with her before I go to work and stay up later than I used to so I can spend time with her at night. I do work full time but the extra effort has been worth it. You can make it work and still have a happy cat with some extra effort.
