What a lucky kitty to have found you! I would suggest interferon treatment ASAP. We have one list member whose cat seroconverted with treatment. But her cat was not infected in the bone marrow I believe. Perhaps she's already written? (I'm a bit behind on the e-mail, so a lot of responses have been deleted, and I don't know who you've heard from).
Torties are great! My Ruthie-Girl was a tortie and the love of my life.
