Hey Gloria,
I have had one (weird!) cat that would take the 3cc's of Lactulose mixed into some wet cat food.  Have never had any others that wanted to be cooperative that way.  It doesn't really taste all that bad, it's relatively sweet, not bitter like some meds, they just don't care for the taste or consistency.  I've had better luck syringing it down...but watch out for the reflexive head turn as you're giving it!  I was giving it to a Persian the other day and spent a good half hour trying to get all the stickiness out of his long chest hair!!!  You may want to fashion a bib (unless you're very confident with your syringing skills...) by taking a piece of paper towel, poking your fist through the middle and then placing the cats head through the paper towel.  (They look like a cute little paper towel flower :-)  FYI, this is also good for those of you that have to syringe feed kitties.  Keeps kitties and area a heck of a lot neater and clean up a lot easier!

Thanks Emile - Have you ever had success putting it in food, or do I need to syringe it?

Lactulose dosage is typically 3cc's one to two times daily as needed for
constipation.  Very, very sticky stuff and will usually make cats drool.
Try to get it far in the back and down smoothly!  Good luck~
