Gloria- That's what I meant! It may not be far to go somewhere, but you never know what traffic is going to do. It's not fair to say Texas is one big traffic jam, but you can fairly say that Dallas is! :) If you were driving to Denton on a Friday afternoon, I bet getting over the Lake Lewisville bridge was a nightmare. But I will say that this Friday was pretty bad traffic wise- I mean worse than normal. There were lots of wrecks, overturned 18 wheeler, etc. etc. etc. The thing is, no one will use alternate routes. It IS ok to get off the highway and take side streets now and then! The fools prefer to sit on a freeway for an hour rather than take a detour that will add 20 minutes to their normal drive. It makes no sense. In your defense, you probably didn't know where else to go, but people who live here do. Ok, one of my pet peeves :) I'm glad you had a good time in the big city of Denton!
