Karen- That is strange about your Shar-Pei. Normally we don't see them in shelters, but we have had 2 at OK in the past 3 or 4 months, and now you have one. That is also funny a/b temperment- they are said to be kind of bratty and not too good w/ kids, cats, or other dogs they don't know. The two we had (both were solid black)were so laid back and sweet. One was turned in by a woman who was getting divorced and couldn't affort the pet deposit at the apartment she was going to. The other was surrendered by a girl going off to college and couldn't take the dog (why she didn't consider that 2 years earlier when she got the dog is another story). Anyway, neither of these dogs had been w/ cats or kids but both were fine with them. Two of the best behaved dogs we have had at the shelter. I guess it just goes to show that you can't breed bash!
