Pam (and all),

The only stressor I'm aware of is the fact that I've been sooooo busy and gone so much of the time for all of May and June basically. But CC is one that doesn't 'spend time' with me anyway....

What about giving the depo to a positive? I guess it's necessary.... but how bad is it???

Also, should we put her on antibiotics as a precautionary thing... it would be very stressful to medicate her... :(

Tonya, I have several cats with variations of eosiniophilic granuloma
complex; I even have a line of cats who are affected by it. It causes gum
problems, lip ulcers (rodent ulcer), swollen pawpads, and plaques or sores on
- primarily - the body. They can even look like abcesses - one of ours had
rodent ulcers on each upper lip and a big open sore on his side when we got
him. They have all responded to depo-medrol. None of them have ever
responded to changes in diet, although some vets have been convinced the
problems were food-allergy related. My personal feeling is it is almost
always triggered by stress of some sort, and in general, if we have been able
to identify stressors and remove them, the cat in question has recovered and
not had a relapse.
