Thank you all who is showing concern. Sorry I have not returned e mail any
faster but I have not given up.It seems that on Friday I was so happy PAWS
of Athens said they would handle it (to put it shortly), but had no places
to foster them. However this morning I received other news. I was informed
that what I was told on Friday was wrong and that I made it all up. PAWS
is not in a position to help as completely as I was lead to believe.
As of now the property is not yet donated to a fire department and i was
told that they will not burn until fall. (Fall is just around the corner).
I have about 60 days to find homes for these cats, as the renters are still
on the property.(The renters are moving to a place where they cannot have
these animals. The husband has cancer and needs some sort of assisted
living arrangement).. As far as i can tell PAWS will only help with those
who absolutely have a home to go to, and their funds are very low.
So heres the deal----they need some homes and it looks like most of
them will need some help getting fixed (spayed \ neutered). there are some
local people who have volunteered to help trap them and I will help trap
and transport. My phone number is 706-783-4790.. Thank you everyone.
