Thank you. Is Silicea one of the homeopathic pellet remedies that comes in
those blue plastic tubes? If so, I can order it from my health food store.
The homeopathic vet I sometimes use actually is mainly an acupuncturist and
also does Chinese herbs, but no homeopathic remedies. How long did you give
it to him for? And was he like this-- gradually going off various things
until he would only eat one or two things?

Do you (or others) fear taking your positives to the vet because of the
stress involved? I know stress can trigger illness for these cats, and so I
agonize over each vet visit and am afraid of stressing them. Is that
reasonable, or do you think I should not be so scared to take them to the vet?

Michelle,

Could it be Lucy is just being finicky? They sometimes get that way,

because she sounds like she's acting fine. Sash has done this, although he

is 10 and could get more finicky because of his age, I guess. Anyway, one

time when he was like this a few months ago I gave him the homeopathic

remedy Silicea 30C 2-3 pellets and ever since he's been eating like a pig!

I'm not totally sure if it was the remedy that jump started his appetite

since sometimes he get's like this anyway. Like Lucy he was acting fine

though, so who knows. I did hear though of some homeo remedies helping with

appetite problems, and Silicea is one of them. You could ask your holistic

vet about it though, probably worth a try. There also very good for

nutrients if something is missing and the immune system. Good luck with

Lucy! Lisa >>
