My cat Toby has been felv and fiv positive for more than a year, and only recently has
he had any problems. The problem is that the vet can't identify the problem. The
obvious thing is that he has gone off his food for a while, but is eating ok. However,
he is limping pretty badly on his right hind leg. The only thing the vet can think
that it might be is a nerve problem from the felv. Sometimes, though, he vomits
violently, then will spend ~20 min. on the floor yowling and rolling around. He
started limping after the first time the yowling and rolling. I took him to the
emergency clinic and after about an hour, she told me she couldn't find anything
wrong. His regular vet can't either, no reason for the yowling and vomiting, and no
connection between the yowling/vomiting and limping. His blood work is perfect and his
organs are fine. Does anyone know anything that might help? He got a shot of Vitamin B
and steroids last week to help him over his funk, and is on interferon n!
ow. I'm concerned though that I'm missing some sign that something else is wrong. Can
anyone help?
