Well, we skipped last Thursday and Friday with the injections, and it looks
like that was a huge mistake.

Alec took a nose dive over the weekend. Right back to square 1. The only
good thing is that even though he is fighting it, he will hold down the food
I force feed him. I made up a concoction of wet food, water, NutriCal,
CoQ10, vitamin c and tuna water. I made it nice and soupy so I could draw it
up into a syringe. He doesn't want to eat, but he is holding it down, so
that's good. He also gets a teaspoon or two extra of the NutriCal for good
measure.

So today is day 3 on the antibiotic injections at the vet's office (and I
have to mention that the vet is being really great about working with me on
the payments -- but he's only charging me $20 a day...no office visit
charge). I also acquired a bag of interferon today and we started that
again. I'm hoping it will give him the boost he needs.

Goopy poops today. All over himself. Yech. He's really not feeling well at
all.

So here's where I need the input -- how soon should I expect to see
improvement IF the interferon is working? One day? Five days? Seven? I
also remember someone posting about whether or not you could drop interferon
in the eyes -- what was the final word on that? His one eye is bad, and the
gentamicin is keeping it stable, but I was wondering if the interferon is
okay to put in the eyes and I can't remember.

Thanks guys for your patience and your input. Many thanks for all the good
wishes and headbonks being sent our way!
