Hi All, My mistake on what the infection is called it is a SEPSIS infection, so really not good, she's been home all night with her fluids and meds being pumped in at intervals designated by the vet. She was uncomfortable until about 9:30PM, but was quite after that. This morning, when I opened the carrier to have a look at her she seemed a bit more alert, and jumped out, I turned the pump off and let her roam around for a few minutes. She wanted to eat but didn't and she went to the water dish and tried to drink a bit. When she moaned I put her back in the carrier and turned her fliuds back on. I'm taking her back in this morning to have bloodwork redone and see if she is responding at all, and I did a little research and found the antibiotics that are commonly used for this (it is not what the vet is using so I'm going to ask her about that). The vet administered Baytril and something else I can't think of offhand, but neither of those are in the recommended list of drugs.
Will let you know what happens, I'm really scared, this has a very low survival rate. -- Belinda Happiness is being owned by cats ...
