Hi everyone,
Sophie is doing pretty well although she continues to be blocked every 4-5 days or so, sometimes longer in between. She strains to pass stool and I usually end up having to give her an enema, sometimes once a day for two to three days. She also has had a couple of incidents where she passed blood coated stools. She is going for a scope this upcoming Wednesday, Oct. 27th in the AM, at MSU. Dr. Stanley will be doing the scope. Her spirits and health are good, though, and it is not like before, so even if they do not find anything helpful as far as clues to what has gone wrong, we can manage this situation where she can have a happy life. I will be sure to let you all know what was found out by her scope.
For anyone new or to refresh any memory of anyone, Sophie is a young tortie cat that was homeless, got hit by a car, needed her tail amputated afterwards and subsequently had her anus and surrounding tissue destroyed by the vet during surgery with a cauterization instrument. She had reconstructive surgery and was doing well the first two months following surgery but has run into a snag now.
I finally got Sophie's website done. It is no masterpiece but I am not an expert at such things, at all. Please excuse all my excesses. I was having fun, like a kid with a new toy, had to try out all the bells and whistles. I have her history on the main page and pictures on all three pages. Any new pictures I take of her will be added as we go along. Here is the website address if anyone would like to have a look, OK?

Bye for now and I will sure keep you all posted.
