Well, "Gary" is eating like a little pig. It's
amazing a 5 pound cat (almost 6 now) has gone from
nothing to more than a can of soft food every day.
Unfortunately, now that her nose is better, her eyes
have gotten worse. The vet thinks it's uveitis but
she also thought she saw something under fluoresence
(ulcers) but since it wasn't clear and she doesn't
want to give an FeLV+ cat steroids unless she needs
them, we have to take Gary to an eye specialist. The
problem is that we can't get in until Thursday and
we've also noticed that one eye is a little cloudy and
the pupil is bigger than the other. Gary may be going
to her regular vet tonight for a glaucoma check.
She's taking 500 mg Lysine, 500 mcg B-12, and a new
antibiotic (5 days) once per day. She also has
antibiotic eyedrops BID and her 7 day Interferon cycle
is ON until Friday.
Has anyone here had kitties with eye problems? I only
hope if it is glaucoma, that she'll only get it in one
eye so she can still see!
