yeah, I saw that yesterday on CNN......  that's ridiculous because if someone allergic really wanted a cat they could just get an Egyptian Mau - my vet has a few clients in that situation, love cats, but have bad allergies and they got Mau's and have no problems whatsoever - and I'm betting that they didn't cost $3500 either
