Hello everyone,
I have what I hope turns out to be very good news. I already posted
that the special dispensation for VO came through and my vet is ordering
it for Grace. I had to bring my other FeLV kitten in yesterday to start
the whole process over with her, (she wasn't yet their patient and they
couldn't apply to FDA unless she was). I talked to my vet's liaison
about sharing whatever she put on the application to the FDA that
worked. She said to have anyone interested, ask their vet to contact
their office and she would be happy to share information. The name of
the vet's office is Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group 805-339-2290,
they are located in Ventura, CA. The vet liaison's name is Michelle
Rose. She's already completely overwhelmed with her regular duties and
I don't know how long her willingness to help will last if she gets
bombarded with phone calls from patients themselves. There's no way to
apply to the FDA directly anyway, so you will have to go through a vet
that's willing. I'm praying that the VO is all that we hope it will be.
