You know that is something I always deal with. The top two reasons for surrendering a kitten or cat is:
1) Moving
2) New baby or pregnant
3) Allergies
4) Not friendly as stated below
5) Not the right colors
6) Has claws want to declaw (Which I forbid in my contract)
7) Doesn't like other animals
8) Expense didn't know they had to purchase items or get medical care when needed
9) Geez, I could go on and on about this!

But anyway I so glad to hear that your Vet is allowing them to be boarded there.  :)
This is kinda off the subject.
There are many nights I don't rest because I think about kitties at the shelters in my area one for sure because they are high kill. It makes it hard when I have my limit and for my fosters as well. Like right now there are a few that I'm hoping get adopted if not I will try my damnest to keep them alive by offering some hope for them. I will check in a bit to see if they are still there....fingers and paws crossed they are adopted. They are beautiful and special needs!

Unfortunately, I think we all know the answer to it.
It is because not enough people care about them.
The rescue I volunteer with is getting a cat back because the new owner doesn't think he is friendly enough.  Would any of us not keep a cat for that reason?  I don't think so.

when you find the answer to THAT question, we'll all rest more easily at night!
