She needs to be watched so carefully and needs her meds on time or she will become blocked with stool (although I believe cats don't have a danger of dying of that unless it goes on for too long, hope that is correct).  I guess if she does all right after being gone for two days then I will know that it will be OK if she drops out of sight again for a few days in the future. 
Can you restrict her to certain areas of the house when she cannot be supervised?
