T,
I agree, but when she becomes blocked and quite obstipated, she becomes ill, vomits, is weak, lethargic, depressed and I think that is a time when she might try to hide, as she knows what is next from me.  An enema.  (although she doesn't mind them too much, I think she would rather not, ha!).  So I wish I had a happy medium where she can be free and enjoy life but also reachable if necessary, you know what I mean?

Anne,

If when you catch Sophie, and she looks fine health-wise, why not just let her stay loose? Since she comes to you anyway, given time, she'll prob. stop hiding and just be a free and normal cat.

Just a thought. Better a shorter quality life, than a long boring safe one.

Thank you, Kerry!  :-)
