Thank you for the info Belinda, I'll ask the vet about the Epi-Otic. I called a compound pharmacy I've used for Peroxicam liquid and they, along with the Metronidazole in transdermal (3 strengths available, 10, 20, and 25mg/0.1ml), also have Metronidazole-Benzoate liquid in any strength that can be flavored with liver, fish, or chicken. The tech said the Met-Ben isn't as bad tasting, I'm thinking of trying that first. The vet that prescribed Flagil for Gypsy in the past, (he preformed her spay when she was trapped), is hesitating about prescribing meds again without seeing her, or doing a fecal test. I'm running out of credit here!

   Nina,
Here is a list of Compounding Pharmacies, find the one closest to
where you aer located and have your vet call in the perscription. I
would also buy some Epi-Otic made by Virbac from your vet, it comes in a
squirt bottle (ear cleaner as the metro builds up and needs to be
cleaned off every 3 days or so). Buddie wasn't thrilled about getting
this either but she sure tolerated it way better than pilling, she
finall got to where she'd see me coming and just lay and wait. Make
sure you rub it in good and only on the upper tip of the ear, you don't
want it to go down into the ear canal.
