    I am sending prayers and good thoughts for all to be well with Simon.  I know milk thistle is excellent and safe.  I know they have figured dosage of many human meds to be 1/10 for a cat and I found this also in the Holisticat archives.  I put two links below, if you have not visited Holisticat yet in your research.  One is a page on just milk thistle.
