My heart goes out to you and Simon, I know how hard it is to see the glimmer of
the cats they once were and then need to do so much for him at the same time.
Its so hard when they won't eat on their own, yet they seem to have the drive
to get to the comfortable spots. At my hospital we always say its gettin scary
when they won't even eat Fancy Feats- what do they put it that stuff anyway to
make it taste so good :) Well keep getting that good stuff into him, I'm a
strong believer in feeding an illness. In my experience that always seems to
be the line between here and the rainbow Bridge. As sick as any of mine have
gotten , it always scares me the worst when they won't eat. I am so happy for
you that he is taking food on his own, its almost a relief. My Tai- Tai
doesn't like can food at all, so we don't even have that to fall back on, and
on top of that she's supposed to be eating a prescription food for crystals-
yeah right! I've only gotten her to eat 1 out of atleas!
t 10 food since I got her, and the prescritpion diet is definatley not on her
list. But we're still trying. She's on appetite stimulants and meloxicam,
antibiotics SQ fluids etc. as well. She has anemia though not lymphoma. She's
hanging in there and doing fairly well with a PCV of 11, so hopefully Simon
will fair well and make some of those needed RBC's. I'll be thinking of you
and Simon- give him an extra hug tonite- best wishes.
