Interesting-- my dog has polyarthritis right now. She has had cancer for over
a year as well as degenerative arthritis, then suddenly her joints got
swollen and painful, she got a fever, and eye inflammation. They did joint taps
which were totally inconclusive, put her on antibiotics in case it was
bacterial,
which did nothing. Now she is on a high dose of pred and is going to start
something called Immuran this afternoon, on the theory that it is an
auto-immune
reaction causing the polyarthritis, and she is a lot better though still does
not want to move much. I had never heard of it before and now here you are
discussing it. Strange.
