Dear Sue: I hope I won't be accused of trying to ram the idea of animal communication down your throat as was recently the case with regard to another listmember and problem, but, I would suggest that you call an animal communicator and ask your cat why she is acting strangely.
I have found when faced with puzzling questions, it gives me more peace of mind and has saved me $$ that might have been needlessly spent on a battery of tests at the vet, to first ask my furkid directly what is going on. Just as a human doctor relies heavily on our relating how we are feeling to help narrow the focus in deciding what tests may be necessary to arrive at a diagnosis, the same can be true with animals, if we would just ask them. I am always especially concerned when one of my FeLV+ fubabys behaves strangely as it is often very subtle things -- with my Purrsia it was sleeping more than usual and with my Angel Eyes it was hiding under the bed because something in her lungs hurt and she didn't want me to take her to the vet -- that can signal the beginning of a decline in their health. If you can catch things early rather than later, there is a better chance of making a difference. Sadly, for my Purrsia and Angel Eyes, the unusual behaviors were the beginning of the end for both of them. I do hope this will not be the case for your furkid. Just like people, cats and other animals can have off days when they just don't want to be sociable and are ready to snarl at the least provocation. But, with my FeLV+ furkids, I never want to just guess and give it time...I can't help worrying and need to know right away what the reason is. Only they can tell you what they are thinking and feeling, and unless one is psychically gifted, you need the assistance of someone who is and can "speak" their language. If you need help finding an animal communicator, I can refer you to somone I've used with very good results as can Nina ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or you can do a web search for Animal Communicators. The AC does not have to physically see the animal, just needs a description of the critter and location and it does not matter where the AC is located with relation to where you are. I've worked with animal communicators who live nearby and clear across the country with equally good results. Best wishes for the coming New Year and I hope you are able to find out why your cat just "doesn't seem right." I hope it will be nothing serious. Sincerely, Sally in San Jose
