Yes, my 3 negs fight over the old, beat-up kitten-size bed I won at a
cat shelter silent auction, while the big, comfy, newer beds remain
ignored most of the time. Tiger, who already weighed 11 lb when I
brought the bed home 3 years ago, couldn't wait to squeeze his bulky
bottom into it then, and today--for reasons known only to himself--still
insists on trying to cram in his now 17-lb bod. I feel the positive
kitties have an altogether more highly-attuned appreciation of the finer
things in life. They do vie for the best beds, it seems to me. Thank
goodness.

I have the same experience with cat beds. The cuter and more expensive
the
cat bed, the more none of the cats would be caught dead in it. However,

just let me put an empty box on the dining table--VOILA--instant cat
bed.
Or better yet, just let me buy the dog a bed. The jumbo, great dane
sized
dog bed gets stolen by the smallest cat and the poor dog ends up crammed
up
in a ball with his fanny hanging off the cute, expensive cat bed.
