That's basically what the vets who saw Legolas said. He outlived
their expectations by a very long time.
I really believe that Simon is hanging on because of his love for you and
your partner. He's proving to be an excellent argument against
euthanasia! I think you're doing the right thing by limiting the meds you
give him. Some can make him feel and do much better, others just make him
feel like crud. Life's too short to feel like crud.
