Actually I have a turtle and they must have vitamin D or their shells will rot.  But, the vitamin D that comes through a window gets filtered out by the glass.  You must buy special lamps for them, give them vitamin supplements, or make sure they get plenty of sunshine outside, not through a window.  I suppose cats must just get enough from their food?

How do I ask Dr. Susan a question??
Since people & animals get Vitamin "D"  by being in  sunlight. What
happens to indoor only cats when they don't get this vitamin?

It's so funny you ask that because I was just wondering the same thing
dont your cats sit in window sills basking in sunlight?
