well, I've seen more cats in smaller situations.  We have several cat trees, condos basket.  They get on the sofas, the tops of counters, bars, the refrigerator, and even on top of the kitchen cabinets up by the ceilings.  The problem seems to be they all want to sleep, sit, etc.... with me.  Also, I've seen some stalking around the litter pans so I've separated those out.  There are 6 distinct rooms for 7 cats.  They should be able to separate if they want.... It just seems everyone wants the same spaces, and one just wants to be a bully.

I used to close off my bedroom and bathroom to keep the cleaning down in those rooms, but now I've opened them up for the cats to have more room to separate.  One of them really just thrives on stalking the others. And my positive is just overly defensive to anyone who even looks at her.

I feel like a television commercial sometimes yelling "Annie!  Stop looking at DD." lol.

I've been thinking about doing that, Sally.  I haven't because I really just believe I have too many cats in too small a house.  But maybe I might find out something that would help.

Thanks,

Tonya,
If you really think that is the problem try making different levels for the cats to use..this gives them ALOT more room...you can try those shelves that lead to "tracks" that go around the celings..or even just stair like shelves..big enough for a kitty to sit on...they make really neat "furniture"/ "decorations" too..even without the kitties sitting on them..just empty shelves..in neat patterns..that go up the walls....just let them be for the cats to have more room...
