That's a really good idea. Do you save theother half or throw it away?
I just use a pillpopper on my guys, no lube or anything just pop its done now I feel bad. I think I'm a hardened mom form my work as a vet tech, I must pill 30 cats a day, from those that take it willingly to those that take 3 people and some of us bleed, we try "less is more" handling we try towels for comfort (and our safety) unfortunately, food is usually seen as just as bad at our place so I never get the chance to try or even think of things like that. We have a blocked 7yr old boy right now who is ona pill for his appetite and its so small and boy what a hard time he gives us, he nailed me good yesterday the rest of his meds ar liquid which is good for him but I find that some cats are worse for liquid.
I just re-read this parqagraph and we sound a little mean at my place, we're not!! we try to go fast and easy so they don't even notice, but some of them REALLY need the meds and those are the naughtiest and its NOT okay for a hospital not to be able to give any animal there treatment no matter what, well of course we don't stress them to that point but if they do get that upset thay get a break till we figure out what way will be best for them. I think that is one of the most challenging aspects of my job-- keeping the cats somewhat happy and relaxed while properly treating and medicating them its a very fine line I walk :)

I give the other half to my german shepherd mix. She will eat anything. LOL
