Greetings: tried macports installation but ran into error compiling
PETSc. Wonder if I need to set PETSC_DIR and PETSC_ARCH?
Here is the screen output and main.log file. Thanks for any help.
Running on MacOSX 10.9.1 with latest MacPorts.
You shouldn't have to set any environment variables for MacPorts
packages. Report any issues at
http://trac.macports.org/wiki/Tickets
Feedback on Trac will be very helpful for the package maintainer to iron
out any teething problems.

The FEniCS packages are now in the official MacPorts repository,
thanks to the efforts of Sean Farley. For OSX + MacPorts users,
getting FEniCS is now as simple as
sudo port install dolfin
Great - who is maintaining the packages?
Sean Farley (https://bitbucket.org/seanfarley [2]).

And what is the ambition of
keeping them updated, which version etc.
