I'm considerably more with "the times" than you are, *man*.
This is the *F* *F* *M* *L*. You are not competing with hundreds of pages of
badly-written summaries of self-indulgent slashfics here. You are engaging
in an entreaty for extensive, intensive criticism of your story by critical
readers and writers. If you post it, SOMEONE will read it, SOMEONE will
review it, and chances are the reviews will be nice and harsh because that's
the purpose of this list: to chip away at the rough edges of fanfics, to
purify narrative text in the fires of criticism until the remaining product
is of a higher quality.
In short, this isn't FF.net, and don't you DARE treat it like it is.
You can give enough information about your story with the basic tags--that's
it's a crossover between Naruto and Slayers, what the title is, and that
it's whatever chapter it is--that people who will be interested in reading
it will read it. You don't need summaries. You don't need extensive notes
detailing what fanfic it is and isn't like. If the story can't stand on its
own strength without having to be explained in advance, then it's not even
worth reading to begin with.
And FYI? There's a difference between a summary and a complete outline of
the plot.

FFML is not such a venue. Do you even bother reading anything that gets
posted to this list? Do you have clue one how the business of reading and
critical review are conducted here?
